• Weavers – Experienced and novice weavers who have taken our weaving classes may continue to weave on our looms at no charge. We provide the materials, and all items may be donated to sell in the shop or purchased.
• Seamstresses - Experienced seamstresses are needed to turn woven goods into finished pieces such as handbags.
• Teachers – Share your skills by teaching classes in knitting, sewing, crafts, arts.
• Computers – Help with data entry, tracking inventory, bar coding, pricing products, and more. Great for high school students with computer skills!
• Students – Students who need community service hours can help with cutting fabric, decorating recycled bags for packaging, computer data entry, and more
• General Shop Volunteers – Organize supplies, cut fabric, decorate our recycled packaging, help with classes, and help with general shop maintenance.
Please help The Grateful Thread support Schuylkill Women In Crisis by purchasing our hand-crafted items or by taking advantage of one of these volunteer opportunities.
The Grateful Thread can always use donations of time, talent, and treasure. If you are willing to make a donation of any type please fill out the form below and we will contact you.
